Socrates Sculpture Park
Socrates Sculpture Park is a four-acre outdoor museum and public park perched on the East River waterfront in Long Island City. Founded in 1986 when artists transformed an illegal dumping ground into a celebrated exhibition space, it hosts large-scale outdoor sculpture, free public programs, yoga, fitness classes, and family events year-round.
